Service terms

Terms

Use OpenForBots only for public websites you are authorised to assess and interpret every result within its stated evidence and limitations.

Last updated: .

Permitted use

Do not use the service to target private networks, bypass access controls, disrupt websites, collect private data, submit credentials or secrets, or test a website without appropriate authorisation. Automated use must respect the service and target website's reasonable technical limits.

Nature of the report

Reports are point-in-time technical and editorial observations based on public evidence. They are not legal, security, compliance, ranking, traffic, citation, recommendation, or provider-outcome guarantees. You remain responsible for reviewing recommendations before changing a production website.

The hostname you submit and the generated report are stored temporarily as described in Privacy. Do not submit a URL containing credentials, tokens, or other secrets — anything submitted is stored, not just displayed.

Availability and suspension

The service may return partial or unavailable results when a public resource cannot be retrieved within its security, size, redirect, rate, or timeout boundaries. Access may be limited or suspended to protect the service, third parties, or infrastructure from abuse or excessive automated traffic.

No warranty

The service and reference content are provided on an as-available basis. OpenForBots does not warrant uninterrupted availability, complete provider coverage, error-free output, or that a recommendation will produce a particular commercial or discovery outcome.

Limitation of responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, OpenForBots is not responsible for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or business losses arising from reliance on an audit, unavailable service, third-party documentation, or changes made to a website. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.

Content and intellectual property

OpenForBots content, methodology presentation, and product interfaces remain subject to their applicable rights and licences. Provider names, crawler names, documentation, and trademarks belong to their respective owners. Linking to or summarising provider material does not imply endorsement or affiliation.

Third-party services and links

The site may link to provider documentation, GitHub workflows, Cloudflare services, and other third-party resources. Their availability, content, security, and privacy practices are governed by their own terms.

Changes

The service, audit rules, and these terms may change as the product develops. Material term changes will update the date above. Versioned methodology changes are separately recorded in the methodology changelog.

Contact

Use the contact and feedback routes for product, methodology, or reference questions. Security-sensitive information must use the private disclosure route.
